History of Worn Metal Inc. as written by Marilyn Kinsell/Worn Metal Designer
Not to bore you with repeating myself, but as mentioned previously, Worn Metal Inc. started with an idea from a discarded screw. The 'screw' (rather known as a lag bolt) I had noticed lying in the road... I knew I had to pick it up. I actually turned the car around to get it! Funny, I am not so sure how the idea came about to apply crystals to this new found source of inspiration; it just happened. Once done, I aptly named it 'The Crystal Screw'. From this starting point I contemplated what other things I could begin applying crystals to. Since I had this screw staring me in the face and considering I really like tools, the idea came to me to check my local hardware store. Since that time, I have expanded the Worn Metal line to include glass beads, stones, and plastics. The jewelry is made up of an array of crystal-covered objects, mainly, crystal-covered hardware. You can be sure whatever the occasion be it a black tie affair, the elegant sexy evening, or casual fun time you'll find something for the occasion.
Let's not forget the novelty items that can be used as paperweights. These decorated 316 steel nuts, screws, and ball-bearings are the perfect unusual gift! These items are great for that hard to buy special someone in your life... like your boss, ha ha. Items like 'The Crystal Screw' is the ultimate gag gift, a gift for those times when someone you know has been royally screwed for this that or the other!
